Does someone know how to set up a report which shows Year to Date amounts in a P&L report.

If I were reporting on August 2016, I’d want

    Actual Month Data for August

    Budget Month Data for August

    YTD Actual Data for August (i.e. 1 July 16 – 31 August 16)

    YTD Budget Data for August

At the moment if I use this fiscal year as my alternate date it provides me with 1st July 16 to 30 June 17

If I use this fiscal year to date it give me 1 July 16 to 1 August 16 (I’d have thought it would have to give 31 August 2016)

If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated

    Regards

    Karl

    Hi Karl,

The best and easiest approach is to make use of the ‘Alternate Period Range’ function of the Financial Report Builder.

    To do this;

    – View your current YTD Report.

    – Hit the Customize button.

    – On the Financial Report Builder page, click on Edit Columns.

    – On the Edit Columns section, Click on the ‘Amount’ or ‘Budget Amount’ whichever is needed to be customized.

    – There will be a, ‘Alternate Period Range Type’ drop down field available.

    – On that field, select Relative to Today’s Date.

    – The ‘Alternate Period Range ‘ field will then be available.

    – Select Custom.

    – ‘Periods’ field will then be available.

    – You can then select the Periods which you want to run the Report Column for.

    – Use CTRL+ Left Click to multi select.

    – Save

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks!
