When an inventory item record is updated either manually or by csv import the change history is not being logged for Preferred Stock Level and Reorder Point. This appears to be happening for a number of years. This example item was just changed manually and by csv import and no history shows other than very old data. System Information / System Notes / Field / Preferred Stock Level Any thoughts? Screenshot attached.

Update from NS support – Upon further investigation, this is the normal behavior of the system after enabling the Multi-Location Inventory Feature. Prior to enabling the MLI Feature, the Reorder Point and Preferred Stock Level can be updated in the Main Line of the Item Record. Updates on them can be shown in the System Notes. However after enabling the MLI Feature, the Reorder Point and Preferred Stock Level will be available in the Purchasing/Inventory Subtab > Location Sublist of the Item Record. Since this is now tracked per location, System Notes has no available field to show Location Reorder Point nor Location Preferred Stock Level. The logs of any changes made should be found in the System Information of the Item Record. Since there's no available fields for Location Reorder Point and Location Preferred Stock Level, pulling this information even on Reports or Saved Searches will not be an option as well. We actually have an existing Enhancement Request for this same issue.

Enhancement # 185451 – Item Record > History Tab > System Notes subtab > Set by field should be set to System if change was made by system for Reorder Points, Preferred Stock Level, and Lead Time

Summary: : Ability to View the Changes Created to Preferred Stock Level and Reorder point
