MarissaNI am new to creating workflows and am not certain of the limitations. We have a number of legal documents that need to be created for entity records. Ultimately what I am hoping to achieve is on record creation a button that will generate and email a PDF merge of specified legal documents.
Is it possible for a workflow to generate a mail merge document? Or should I be looking in another direction for this?

sethuAre you looking to send out a mail contains PDF document to the users upon creation of the record?
If so…Workflow can do this operation.

We need the document (an NDA) to be emailed to the user as well as the potential customer, partner, etc. I have not been able to find how workflow can generate the document (from a PDF template merge) and email. I have only been able to see that an email workflow that can be done after the user has created the document.

mushrushI am trying to do something similar. I have a PDF Template that has the CRMSDK Tags in it created. I can create a merged PDF file successfully from the prospect/customer list, but when trying to include this PDF Template in a workflow to be attached to an email is not working. It just sends the template file without the CRMSDK Tag populated with the customer/prospect’s information.
Is it possible to merge the pdf before attaching to the email?
