We have some webquery reports in excel that I set up I now want another use to run each month. The parameters on these reports need to be updated manually (need YTD etc) so someone has to login to change these first.

The problem is that only the netsuite user who set up the webqueries seems to be able to update the parameters. If we change the email address to the new users email address in the workbook connections properties in excel, we get an error message “You have entered an invalid e-mail address. Please try again.”

So the new user can run with with the old users email address (they do not have to provide credentials) but then the reports run with the old users last set of parameters used on the report.

Are we missing something? How can the new user take ownership of these webqueries and run them with their own login?

RE: Web query – cannot transfer to new user email address

In excel, edit the query parameters to match the email address of the owner of the report. NOTE: The report must be run by the report owner to pull values through.
