Hi all,
I have a handful of PDFs that Netsuite fills in and emails using some scripting. I have form fields in the PDF that are named NLCUSTRECORD_FIELD_NAME which Netsuite recognizes and populates. And in my templates those fields are all read only and locked. I then set an access password to keep whoever receives it from making any changes. But that’s not quite secure enough. I need to be able to “flatten” the PDF after the merge is complete so those fields become part of the PDF and are no longer form fields. I don’t think I can use Netsuite’s Advanced PDF Templates, since I need to use these specific templates with their images and formatting.
So is there a way that I can use an existing PDF, merge Netsuite data into it, and then lock it down in such a way that there is no password and even I can’t change it again? And to clarify, the tighter it’s locked, the better. But the big issue is making the form fields part of the PDF and no longer alterable.
Thanks!
Jeff
