    Hi,

I have created couple of custom fields – one of them populates the value using a saved search (the saved search takes a sum of the line items of one of the columns on an Item Fulfillment record)

    – the second populates the value using a custom formula.

Both of these fields work fine and display the value on the Item Fulfillment record.

But on the Packing Slip form they are blank.

I confirmed that they are selected on the Packing Slip form under the Body fields. Also, on the custom body fields, I selected the check mark of “Print on Packing Slip”

None of these are helping me and I am not sure what wrong I am doing.

I have even tried sourcing one of the field’s value on to a new custom trnasaction body field. Then tried displaying this field on the packing slip. But same problem.

Does NetSuite have a limitation of displaying field values of fields which are calculated using formula or a saved search?

As it turns out, NetSuite support told me that an Item Fulfillment record field which populates the field value based on a search will not work if you try to display it on the Packing Slip pdf. If you have the same custom transaction body field on a Sales Order and try to have that field on a Picking Ticket pdf instead then you can display the field properly! This is a defect that NetSuite support told me which already exists and they did not give me any workaround for this issue.

Would really appreciate if anyone know a workaround for this problem.

When you tried sourcing the information onto the second custom transaction form did you enable ‘store value’ on the second field?

Rafe, No. I did not as I was sourcing the field.
