fulankuRE: Turn off notifications for Issue and details
Do you have any user event script that is triggered on Import/Export?
You can unckeck the switch in Import/Export performance.
or do you have any searches that you subscribe to receive notifications?
You can check your subscription in home >> performance

elhamCorey,
Generally speaking we don’t trigger emails through CSV import and SuiteTalk Web Services. Are you seeing different results for issue import, or assuming that import will trigger emails?

coreyYes, Elham. We are in the procces of transferring our support department into NetSuite and I have been working out our import for issues. I imported 20 something new details into a dummy issue into the sandbox and was immediately flooded with as many emails. They were sent to me as the administrator, but were ‘originally sent to:’ another dev here who is the one listed in the Reported By field. In every single detail in the list on the issue there is an entry for Copy Employees: and it is set to the Reported By. I have found no way to turn that cc off. I assume I am doing it wrong. Or hope anyway.
fulanku, to answer your questions, no to both.

coreyInteresting. When I import a new issue and so the reported by is me and then import new details I get no email alerts.

sduranteCould it be possible that Set Up > Issues > Issue Preferences > Send Customer Notification When = [xx] be triggering the email?

elhamPlease open a case. We will investigate and fix the problem. I just don’t know how fast we can fix it and if it is going to be done in the time frame you need to complete your data migration.

coreyRE: Turn off notifications for Issue and details
I did, case 1565257. They told me to have the users turn off their personal preferences for notifications. It turns out to be OK since I can’t set the reported by field, anyway, then my name (or more probably a descriptive employee I create) will be the same as the one importing it, so we can get around email notifications.
If you want to go in and change something, you could always open up Product/Module to CSV Import 2k entries by hand is tedious.
Thanks for the response, Elham.
