jsmithHi there, has anyone else had trouble installing the new Linux ODBC driver? (It’s available if you ask for it through a support case.) It took me a long time to figure out how to get it set up and I wanted to see if others had trouble too.

radioblasterWhen I first requested the driver they sent me a 32 bit driver and instructors for red hat. I’m on Ubuntu and want the 64 bit driver so I have requested this through support but am still awaiting a response. Once I get the required files I’ll report back on how successful I was getting it set up.

radioblasterRE: Trouble installing new Linux ODBC driver?
Yeah, I’m having nothing but troubles trying to get this dang thing installed. NetSuite sent me a link to the 6.0.3 linux driver and I grabbed the 64 bit one. The korn shell installer appears to have bugs and logic issues. First, their function Log_WriteVar doesn’t actually evaluate the variable, so you end up with a log file entry like “AVAILABLESPACE=AVAILABLESPACE”. Second, they have a logic issue where they check if the 32 bit tar file exists, and if so, attempt to run the 32 bit makelic command. The thing is, the 64 bit driver includes both the 32 bit and 64 bit tar so the wrong makelic is executed. I fixed this so that it runs the 64 bit makelic file but now I’m getting errors about libstdc++5. The battle continues….

abaigHello,
Kindly refer to SuiteAnswers Answer Id: 29828.
If you are still having difficulties installing the driver, kindly reopen your Support Case asking for a WebEx session with the rep so they can guide you with the install.
