NateSEclipse Version: Mars.2 Release (4.5.2)
OS: macOS High Sierra 10.13.4
NetSuite Version: 2018.1
So I’m heading to SuiteWorld this year and I’m going to be taking some pre-event SuiteScript training. My company has provided me with a MacBook Pro to take with me. I’m normally a Linux user and I also prefer to use WebStorm as my IDE, but I figured I’d give Eclipse / SuiteCloud IDE a chance during the training sessions. I had previously installed the SuiteCloud IDE on a Windows 10 VM, so I’ve done this before.
I’m following the NetSuite provided documentation for installation for a 2018.1 account. Eclipse doesn’t seem to have any trouble finding the bundle from the provided url (http://system.netsuite.com/download/ide/update_18_1), downloading, and installing it initially. But after installing it and restarting eclipse if I try to open the NetSuite tab that is displayed in the top bar, most of the options are unavailable. The only options that aren’t greyed out and unavailable are Master Password and Troubleshooting, but even the sub-selection within Master Password is greyed out and unavailable. The other options; Setup Wizard, Manage Accounts, and Manage Environment, are all greyed out and unavailable for selection.
Because of this I tried to access the NetSuite tab within Eclipse’s Preferences, but when I select it I’m greeted with a red error message stating “An error has occured when creating this preference page” as well as a window that pops up and reads the following:
“Unable to create the selected preference page.
” An error occurred while automatically activating bundle com.netsuite.ide.eclipse.app (930)”
I’ve attached a link to the SuiteCloud IDE error log that is output by eclipse when trying to access it.
Has anybody else experience any issues like this while setting up on macOS?
