petermacHi,
We are currently experiencing something in NetSuite where our current period trial balance report is unbalanced, and previous period which was balanced before is now unbalanced.
The discrepancy in the amount is huge and the differences in amount span across multiple accounts.
We have only kept the summary trial balance report per month and not the account detail report so we can only compare which accounts have a discrepancy and how much it is.
Is there a way (a report or something) that we can use to easily track which transactions may have cause the discrepancies in the account amounts? Can general ledger report be used? If so how?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

mlumangayaHi,
I believe we have Issue 414355 that might be the same as your concern here.
Anyway, if the Trial Balance Report is not balanced, here are the troubleshooting steps you can do:
1. Try changing the Reporting Setup by navigating to Home>Set Preferences>Analytics Subab.
2. Try to run the Trial Balance Report when the “REPORT BY PERIOD” field under Analytics subtab is set to All Reports or Never.
3. Check if the Report will balance when Dates is used instead of Periods.
4. If you are using a OneWorld Account, run the Trial Balance Report on a per Subsidiary basis and ensure that the Subsidiary Report doesn’t have a Cumulative Translation Adjustment row value.
5. Subsidiary Reports should not have any CTA values. Only Consolidated Level Reports should have CTA amounts, unless a manual entry is posted to the Subsidiary.
6. Reconcile the amounts on the Trial Balance with the amounts of the Accounts on the Balance Sheet Report and Income Statement.
7. If above-mentioned doesn’t yield result, file a Support Case.
I hope this helps.
