gdelvecAfter spending many hours developing custom records and forms in our test account, I received the following error while trying to move them into our production account with SuiteBundler.
“Can’t install bundle due to version mismatch. Your account version is (2007.1.0.19), bundle account version is (2007.0.5.53).”
I was surprised to see that SuiteBundler is not backward-compatible. Must there be an exact match between NetSuite versions in order to use SuiteBundler? If that’s the case, then perhaps the NetSuite version of a SuiteBundle should be indicated in the repository.
Also, where does one find the full version number of a NetSuite instance. I looked around, but was only able to find a truncated version number in the copyright notice at the bottom of the dashboard screen.
Thanks,

I agree completely.
Also, I think this means that in the future NetSuite must upgrade all accounts owned by a particular customer at the same time. Otherwise, there could be up to a month or more between upgrades. If you were in the middle of updating customizations from your Sandbox (or other account) to your Production account, your schedule could be suddenly delayed by a month or more.

Click on your Home tab. View the source of this page. Full version number should be about the 3rd line from the bottom.

JMUnderwoodRE: SuiteBundler Version Mismatch
OK, I just got and read the updated SuiteBundler documentation contained within the Customization.pdf document dated 10/5/07.
It is not clear, but there appears to be a conflict on whether or not you can install a bundle created in an older ver of NS into an account with a newer ver of NS.
From page 97:
Note: You cannot install a bundle created in a newer version of NetSuite than the version your account is currently using. You can, however, install bundles created in older versions.
From page 101:
During phased release cycles, NetSuite maintains two versions of the SuiteSource Repository:
one for the older version of NetSuite, and one for the newest version. You cannot share a bundle with another NetSuite account if the two accounts are using different versions of NetSuite. Once all NetSuite customers are using the same version, you can again share bundles with anyone.
So, one of these would appear to be incorrect. But which?
