When I move undeposited funds, which is an asset account but other asset, into a new category under the asset account section on the balance sheet called Cash, it reverses the sign of the undeposited funds.

So when I have 10k in the account when it shows as other asset, I have -10k when it shows as Cash (in sequence with the bank accounts)

Are you using the financial report builder to move the account to a different location on your balance sheet? If so, you will need to reverse the sign – you can do it under the “Edit Layout” / “Account Row Format” section when you’re customizing the report.
