    Hi Folks,

    I'm back again…..Looking for help with Showing/Hiding, Requiring/Not Requiring fields based on a selection in a drop-down (or any other field). As of current, the only way I know to do this would be to create a massive workflow with actions for each separate field for both display type, and mandatory/not mandatory. e.g.

    If I want to hide a field based on a selection, I create an action for hiding it on entry, an action for displaying it when a specific value is selected, then an action for making it go away if any other option in the drop-down is selected. I then do the exact same process for making it mandatory. I then proceed to do this for every field that I need this functionality on.

    My question, am I doing this right? This seems like a lot of effort for such a small item. If not do you have any suggestions. Also, could this be done with a script? if so, could someone possibly show me what a line or two of the script might look like, even just for one field? As always folks, any help is super appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!

    I was recently corrected that there is now a supported way to show/hide fields in SuiteScript 2.0 – see michoel 's comment in this thread:
