I needed to make a report showing sales into a specific geographical region of a state. The region was defined by the counties I used the Sales by Customer report and some filters to show what I wanted. It worked really well. The rep for that area pointed out to me today that one customer shows on the report with YTD sales of $106,233.60. The customers dashboard shows sales of $26,774. Would I please check out the discrepancy.

Upon review the $26,774 number is correct. I did a random sampling of 20 other customers on the report and compared their reported sales with those showing on their dashboard and all 20 agree completely between the 2.

Now I am trying to figure out what could be causing the discrepancy for this one customer.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I dont want people to lose faith in reporting so I need to figure this out.

I guess i figured it out. My filters were redundant to some extent. Once I got the geographical filters down to one all the numbers came right into line.
