    Hi,

I am trying to get a sales order report that gives me the value of sales orders by month of start date for each of my sales reps.

So the report would have sales reps on the rows, months across the columns.

In Mr Sales Rep for March I want it to show me value of sales orders with a start date in March.

Note, this is different to showing me the value of sales orders with a transaction date in March.

I am struggling to create this fairly basic report. Can anyone help?

RE: Sales Order Report by Start Date

Try populating the Start date field and ignore the date the sales order was created. I am not sure if the sales order form needs modifying to include the start and finish dates.

I am populating the start date field on the sales orders.

It’s the creation of the report that I’m having trouble with. I can only seem to get the report to show the value of sales orders with the transaction date in any particular month.

RE: Sales Order Report by Start Date

    Hi

Please let me clear my doubts for better understanding.

You said the report will show the value of sales order on 1st of March.

It means you want the report like below.

as onMarch1st as on April 1st as on May 1st

Total value for Total value for Total value for

    (Jan & Feb) (Jan-March) (Jan-April)

    Sales rep1

    sales rep2

    (OR)

as onMarch1st as on April 1st as on May 1st

Total value for Total value for Total value for

    (Feb) (March) (April)

    Sales rep1

    sales rep2

    (OR) not both

What i’m looking for is a report that has a column month by month:

    Column March:

    Row Sales Rep1:

Total value of sales orders with salesrep = “Sales Rep1” and startdate value >= 1st March and = 1st March and = 1st April and = 1st April and <= 30th April

    etc.

    Does that make sense?
