I have the “sales” kpi meter active on my dash board and from what i can tell, its showing sales in accrual basis. Its showing invoices, cash sales, and credit memos whether they are paid in full, open, or whatever.

In quickbooks you could simply toggle back and forth on this report for “cash basis” or “accrual basis”

Is there a way to do this in netsuite?

Also, it seems like its counting shipping cost into the sales numbers.

Is there a way to not count shipping charges in the sales numbers?

You will need to add both Sales (Billings) and Sales (Cash Basis) KPIs on the Key Performance Indicators portlet. From there, you can use your KPI meter and toggle between those values on the View drop-down list.

As for the shipping cost, you can create a custom saved search to display a formula showing the total amount less the shipping cost. I am not sure how it will display this KPI on both Accrual or Cash Basis. The KPIs above were all pulled from reports, where you can easily toggle between Accrual or Cash Basis reporting. However, I am unable to find the same option on saved searches.

If you need assistance in creating the saved search, please open a case with support.
