Hello Community,

Just wondering if anyone knows about how run a report and/or saved search on the activity in custom fields..meaning the history of data entered in custom fields within a certain time frame. I’ve tried a System Note search but it always seems to crap out.. Any takers?? Thanks in advance folks!

A system note search should work. Maybe you can detail the problems you encountered.

Hey Evan,

Thanks for inquiring. I am trying a System Note search actually but it always seems to time out when I try and run it to the screen. It works sometimes when I export it. I’m using expressions because I think it will make this search run faster(hopefully). I’ve specified the Type as Change, Date is within 2009 and Field I’ve selected multiple items from several. For Results, I’ve specified Date and Field. I did not select any available filters. I was able to run it on the screen yesterday..ONCE and have been able to do so since. Any info is much appreciated.

Not sure what might be making it slow. You could try narrowing down the criteria, or if not you could have it emailed to you overnight in which case it won’t time out.
