steven_stewartAll,
I have a few list fields that are offering my agents the ability to add new values to it (e.g. “New” shows up with the values, giving them the ability to add values to the field). Does anyone no off-hand what permissions I would be looking at changing here? Thanks in advance, you guys are great!

Olivier Gagnon NCYou need to grant only VIEW permission to the underlying record the list is displaying. So let’s say it’s a list of customers, then the user must only have VIEW permission on Customers. If it’s a custom list, then make sure the user does not have permission to create custom lists, etc.

steven_stewartHi Olivier, thank you for answering. Its a drop-down field, that displays a list of ticket types. (Created under Customization>Lists, Records & Fields>Lists>New). I’m not seeing that they have any permissions to create customs lists. The odd thing is, they do not see the “New” option on other drop-down lists within the same case form..

steven_stewartI got it! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It was “Record Field Entries” were set to “Full”. Setting them to “View” got rid of it. Thanks again!

Hi Steven, I encountered the same problem. Would appreciate it if anyone who sees my post could tell me where I can find “Record Field Entries”

Hmm, I found a solution to my problem. I created Custom Record and set the permission from there.
