I would like to generate a report of service items sold by sales rep that pulls the quantity value from the individual lines of invoices and cash sales.

I’ve tried many different reports and saved searches to no avail. Suggestions would be most welcome.

    Yes, this is possible!

Create a Saved Search for Transactions. (Transactions > Management > Saved Searches > New > Transaction).

    Give your search a Title.

In the CRITERIA tab, for your first filter choose โ€œITEM FIELDSโ€ฆโ€ (itโ€™s all the way at the bottom of the list), then choose TYPE, and from that pop-up select SERVICE. Click the DONE button.

In the next Criteria line, choose TYPE, then click INVOICE and CASH SALE (multi-select by holding down your CTRL key).

Then move over to the RESULTS tab. In the first line, choose SALES REP for the FIELD column, and in the SUMMARY TYPE column, choose GROUP. Click ADD.

In the next line, choose QUANTITY for the FIELD column, and in the SUMMARY TYPE column, choose SUM. Click ADD.

I recommend setting the SORT BY field (in the RESULTS tab) to SALES REP to sort alphabetically by sales person.

Now preview the report to see the sales by sales rep. You can drill down to see more detail and of course add any other columns you feel are necessary.

Thank Julie. That worked. The trick was finding the link to the Service. I knew it must have been there somewhere…
