cpatonIs there anyway to use odbc from Excel to access data in a saved search?
I created a custom child record of the employee record and need to access the data from it. One problem with the odbc data dumped into excel is that the currency comes out as an ID number and the exchange rate associated with that currency don’t appear as they are looked up in netsuite. Can I create 2 custom fields in my child record that store the currency name and exchange rate? The aim is to have these available in excel.
Finally I read their was some netsuite odbc guide – does anyone know where that is?

Cindy SloanRE: ODBC access to saved search data?
Documentation about NetSuite’s enterprise views is available as help topics (search “enterprise views” in the help to get the help topics) and as a PDF (in the Help Center, click the User Guides link, scroll down and under Reporting and Search Guides, select Enterprise Reporting Views Guide).
Be aware that this documentation is very basic and may not answer your questions. We are working to improve it though.
Thanks,
Cindy

mhuffmanIt is not currently possible to access the results of a saved search you defined in NetSuite via ODBC. It is something we could implement in the future, and is logged as enh. request #110729 – please vote on this enh. through the NetSuite support center.
