    Is there a way to add what I think is called a component to a report? For example I need to use a field from Order Items Pending Fulfillment in another report. Is there anyway to build a report from scratch using tables from the database?

    For that degree of flexibility you should look into the SuiteAnalytics Connect module which allows you to to connect to a third party reporting system via ODBC / JDBC / ADO.NET.

    Another newbie (to reporting) here! I have a question along similar lines. Ideally, I’d like to be able to create reports from scratch. As long as data is contained in its own field – in one case, a purchase order number, a client and dates of invoices – shouldn’t I be able to build that report within NetSuite? I have been working with customizing lists but it does not always serve my purpose.
