I am building a “saved search” which gives me a list of Sales Orders, Items Ordered and Description. When the sales order was entered, the item description was over-written. When the saved search is run, the item description is the description under the item record, not what was over-written during sales order entry. I cannot seem to find the correct field for the new item description for the saved search.

Any help/pointers?

The Memo field in transaction searches should correspond to the description field.
