luka@tantumbenefits.comI am trying to import a customer record that is associated to another customer record. Is there a way to do this?
IE. I have a customer record TCM12345645 Test Company. I want to add a subrecord to that company so it will be attached to it. TCM12345645:1 Test Company

rnedelkowYou should be able to add the subcustomer using a customer only import and mapping these fields. Here's an example:
Child Customer to Company Name
USA to Currency (Req)
CUSTOMER-Closed Won to Status (Req)
No to Individual (Req)
Test Company to Parent Company
Thanks,

I've got what I think is a similar need. I have a list of leads to import. There are seven parent companies, each with multiple offices. Within each office are multiple contacts.
Company 1 – Office 1 – Contact 1
Company 1 – Office 1 – Contact 2
Company 1 – Office 2 – Contact 1
Company 2 – Office 1 – Contact 1
Company 2 – Office 2 – Contact 1
Company 2 – Office 2 – Contact 2
etc
This is a bit more complex as it's a multiple file process of Leads and Contacts together in two files. Do I need to do two imports, first the parent companies and then a combined office/contact attached to the parent?

I would suggest that you do two imports. One file containing the lead records and do a "Leads Only" import. Then prepare a file containing the contact info and do a "Contacts" import. Mapping the office name to the Company field in the Contacts import should link the Contact record to the Lead record in NetSuite.

NicHow about importing and creating a child (subcustomer). ie. the subcustomer does not yet exist, but it would create when being imported. Is this possible?

mlucentalesFor importing leads/prospects/customers together with contacts, please refer to the following articles:
https://netsuite.custhelp.com/app/an…tail/a_id/9974
https://netsuite.custhelp.com/app/an…il/a_id/12171/
For importing customers and subcustomers:
1. You need to import (Add) the parent customer records first.
2. Then import (Add) the child customers and make sure that in the mapping section, you set a value for Customer : Parent Company field.
