Hi everyone. I’m working on making up a custom report for one of our managers that shows the line item details of how people are using the custom pricing. What I’ve got is a report showing transaction line details by sales rep, and on there I have listed both the item’s base price and the price it was sold at. I would like to have the report calculate the discount amount per item (base minus sale) and the extended discount (previous discount times the qty sold). However it seems that I cannot reference other formula fields in a new formula field. Is there something I’m missing or is this most basic of functionality simply missing?

    Hi Matt,

Currently, users are limited to x and y elements using limited operations on reports. Please vote for Enhancement 76804 that will allow users to use search like formulas.

You may be better off creating a transaction search, where formula fields are much more flexible – supporting field tags and SQL syntax.
