delilahruchHi All, I have built a field for a customer record which needs to source the supervisor (located on the employee record) of the employee assigned to the customer. I believe I set this up correctly but the field is not sourcing. I know that the field Types of List/Record are funky but I can't figure out why this isn't working. Screenshot of the field is linked below.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

MikeBucklaewCould it be as simple as the role of the person looking at the form doesn't have permission to access the employee record?
delilahruch replied on 12/09/2016, 08:52 AM: That would make sense but I’m trying to view it as an administrator and can’t see it.

MikeBucklaewI think you just need to clear the "Source Filter By" choice. I'm assuming Maintenance Technician is a custom field of Employee and is not a multi-select…

Olivier Gagnon NCYeah "Source Filter By" seems superfluous.
delilahruch replied on 12/09/2016, 10:03 AM: I tried it with and without "Source Filter By", the field still isn’t loading info.

MikeBucklaewTake a look at this I just did in Sandbox. Do they look similar? Did you edit the customer record after making the change?
delilahruch replied on 12/09/2016, 10:47 AM: Yeah, mine is set up exactly the same but won’t load. Thank you for going through the trouble of creating a sandbox version. I think I’m going to put in a support case at this point and see what NetSuite has to say, I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t something I was missing.

n.tiwari@manduka.comdelilahruch,
If you are sourcing the employee's supervisor from the employee record then you need to un-check "Store Value". Try this in sandbox and see if it helps.
delilahruch replied on 01/05/2017, 09:45 AM: Thanks, N, I was able to figure out the issue and just forgot to post that it was resolved.

erictgrubaughFWIW I have a video that teaches the basics of sourcing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mYdf-AnmFk. That "Store Value" behaviour is often the cause of much confusion when using sourcing.
delilahruch replied on 01/05/2017, 09:46 AM: Thank you, Eric! I’ve subscribed to your videos, I think they’ll be helpful!
