    Hi All,

Is there a way in NetSuite to do the following.

Say I have 5 child subsidiaries, all in the same currency, and no intercompany transactions.

But I want to see a consolidated view of only two of the subsidiaries, how would I go about doing that? I can’t edit the report customization for the subsidiary filter, so I’m not exactly sure how it’s done.

One idea I had was to create a role which would only give access to the two subs, and view the reports on a consolidated level like that.

Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

    Thanks,

    Niro.

Why can’t you edit the subsidiary filter? That is what I’ve done in the past, not had any limitations there. What are you seeing when you try that?

    Hi Olivier,

    Thanks for replying

Unfortunately, the subsidiary filter greyed out and cannot be clicked. I’ve tried different combinations of columns (i.e. Subs, Subs (Heirarchy), total) etc.

What reports are you running? We have changed companies in the past year – so on consolidated reports I have them excluding the 2 subsidiaries that we no longer use. That seems to work out okay.

Hey Niro – if you want to send me an email – I can send back to you screen shots of how we did it – then see if that works for your company. my email is carol_b@wi2wi.com

    Hi Carol,

You probably are referring to the Subsidiary Context field when you say you cannot edit it.

Here is what you can do to create a consolidated report for 5 Subsidiaries.

I will assume that the report is either a P&L or a Balance Sheet one.

    1. Load the Report (if you have an existing one).

    2. Click Customize.

    3. Under the Filters link, expand the Financial folder.

    4. Under the Financial folder, look for the field, “Subsidiary”.

    5. Select this Field and set the criteria. You can expand the list and pick the two subsidiaries you wish to report on.

    6. Click Done on the pop up.

    7. Make sure that Subsidiary Context is on the Consolidated level.

    8. Click Preview on the report.

    Kindly Review the results.

    9. Once you are good with the results, click Return to Customization button.

    10. Enter a Report Name and click on Save.

Note: You can set the Column footer filter to Subsidiary so you can view the details per Subsidiary.

    I hope this helps.
