aremusHello All,
I have created a saved search that my goal is to run every 30 mins. From this search I really hope there is no results, but if there was something that exists I would like the information to be e-mailed. But the e-mail will only take place should there be something found.
Can this be done?
It is to find any new quotations in our system without an assigned sales rep that comes in from our website.
I have the search setup, and I started the workflow (seems pretty easy to run every 30 mins), but I am not sure how to get information sent to people or a group of people if there was something found.
Thanks in advance!

j.jhi aremus,
create the saved search and goto->email tab
select the people to whom emails need to be sent
unselect ‘send if no results’ to stop sending zero results – this way email goes only if something is found in the search

evan_goldbergIf you already have a scheduled workflow based on this saved search, you can send an email with a send email action, it wills end one email for each matching record. The benefit of using saved search email alerts is it can send one email with the whole list of matching records.

aremusThanks for the feedback.
J.J, Just using the search would not be enough as it only runs once a day. I want this to run all day long to ensure the found items are addressed.
Evan,
So I would create the state 1 and have it do a send e-mail action and it will send the results? I was not sure it was that simple, but I will set this up and see how it works.
Thanks!

harriswI am starting with Workflows for the first time here, so please excuse my amatuer skills. I am not sure if this is possible to do, but basically when a customer has an invoice that hits ‘X’ days past due, i want an email to automatically be sent to our Accounting lady, as well as to the AP contact of that respective company (if we have one under their account record). I have created the saved search and the workflow to automatically email it to our Account lady, i am just not sure if it is possible to have to send to that respective AP contact.
I appreciate all your help in advance.
