Trying to get a detailed profitability report by job.

Started with Customer Profitability Detail report but that does not include all items coded to COGS for each job. How can I change what the COST field pulls or how do I add to the report to get all COGS to be reflected.

I have found that the COGS must be paid first before they show on the profitability report. Which I find frustrating because the jobs are technically invoiced and completed when we can find out the profitability of the job. Maybe that is why they are missing.

I had a similar issue with the Customer Profitability report where we were trying to calculate the commissions per sales rep but this report didn’t work because the associated COGS account wasn’t seeing item fulfillments, not are fulfillments able to be displayed on this report. I’ve filed a case with NetSuite and it has been deemed as a defect, S2

It seems to be a fairly broken report in its default state. If I buy a noninventory item and then sell it the COGS does not show up on the profitability report.

To get the report to be accurate I have to edit the sold item after the sale, and associate the original purchase with the customer. I can only assume this is a bug.
