In the past on some custom forms the checkbox Store Form with Record was checked.

Now if we create a new version of the form no matter what we do the old form is still used.when viewing the old record.

Is it possible to clear this flag on the record so the role preferences will override the old form?

It would be nice to be able to do this for a large number of records at one time.

What type of form? Entry form or Transaction or a custom record?

I assume your trouble is that when you uncheck the "store with record" the old form remains tied to the record?

Entity , entry form, Yes you are correct. The old form remians stored with the record and the only thing I can think to do is check the "store with record" checkbox on the new form and then resave the record. I would like to avoid that because it would be very time consuming and we do not wish to store the form with the record going forward we would rather have the role dictate the form used.

We also have the issue with transactions forms, but I understand the problem there.

If you restrict the role to the new form it will display with the new form even though the original form is stored with the record.

John's right here. The system doesnt let go of its hold on the stored data by unchecking the box (boy I wish it did) so you have to perform some type of action to wiggle it free. I frequently restrict the role which will force the correct form.

You could toggle the form check box before 2015.1 release – after that that release forms get saved with the record by default. Due to this one of my scripted customization broke and had to do the same thing John suggested.
