PTIAdminHi there,
I can’t seem to get this report to show me the data we want to see. When I run the report, we see this period compared to last years totals. I can not get this to change!
I’d like it to show me this year, month by month comparison. I’ve tried several different filters and customizations without any luck.
Is there something I’m missing?? i”m sure it is obvious, but i’m being blind. I tried customizing the income statement report to give me that information, but got all zero’s for every month in this year!! I am the admin, so it shouldn’t be a permissions thing.
Thanks for any light you can shed on this for me!!

PTIAdminI figured it out, finally… not sure why this was so hard to see, but I had to edit each column to give me the date period, as this is where the compare to last year was set.

Lisa,
Could you explain this a little more? We have the same problem, last year is always the total for the year. How do I edit the column so it’s the YTD amount?

Patrick PaguiaHave you tried to filter Column by Accounting Period? Select the Date range you want to see (e.g Jan to Sept) and then filter by Accounting period. This should give you your monthly Income Statement. this should show you the monthly income statement.
You can compare data for the same field across time by adding multiple columns for the field and setting an alternate date range for each additional column. Go to Edit columns on the Financial Report Builder and select amount under the Financial Folder (this is the actual financials).
On the Alternate Period Range Type, you can select Relative to report date type. It is defined in relation to the overall range set for the report and changes when the report range changes.
The Relative to today’s date type is provided for backwards compatibility with behavior prior to Version 2010 Release 1. This type is defined in relation to the current date when the report is run and does not change when the overall report range changes.
YOu can have this option and select the period range you want for each column.
