    Hi there,

We often put orders into pending approval when we are out of stock on something and the customer wants a call back prior to shipping.

How would it be possible for me to run a report or search so that I could see the qty of each item that is in pending approval?

I see the back order report but that only pulls for sales orders that aren’t in pending approval.

    Thank you for your suggestions!!!

RE: Back ordered items in pending approval

a search for sales orders pending approval and then add item : quantity available e.g. should work.

RE: Back ordered items in pending approval

    Hi Evan,

What I actually really need to see, and hopefully there is a way– is to see in my inventory status report the items that are also in pending approval.

Currently in my report i have

    -Item

    On Hand

    Committed

    Current Quantity Available

I would love to be able to have a column that would show units in pending approval so i can get a full view of what my requirements are.

Is it possible to get this field into a report?

    Thanks,

It is theoretically possible via the transaction fields… in the item search and then using a formula, but I am concerned that report might run slowly becauae it couldn’t filter the transactions or item rows would potentially be filtered out.

You can definitely run a second report as a transaction search, filtering to sales orders pending approval and grouping by item. You would then have to merge the reports somehow.

If you have access to someone who can write suitescript they could do the merge in Suitescript.

    Thanks,
