TamiKWe have to send daily inventory reports to several customers. I have most of these set to email, using the Current Inventory Status report. However, one customer needs pricing as well. I would like to use a report, so that it can be scheduled, but I cannot get the pricing to show on an inventory report, and I can’t get the available inventory to show on a price report. Suggestions?

KCSF BudI’d recommend using a saved search instead of a report….there’s a lot of documentation on how to create those and schedule them. Ask if you need help with specific pieces of data?

TamiKI’ve tried to do a saved search, and I can get the availability and pricing, but I can’t filter out locations to be excluded. We have several product lines, and the parts have the same names but different packaging.

KCSF BudYou should be able to get just the locations you want by setting ‘Inventory Location’ filter to just the desired locations and the Results of ‘Location Available’ or ‘Location On Hand’, etc…

TamiKThat worked…but I now want the locations combined into one total. Isn’t this Burger King, and I can have it my way? I see the Summary option, but it won’t let me use it without a Description, and that box is greyed out for me. I really appreciate the help!

KCSF BudYou might be looking at the summary option on the criteria tab…look at the results tab and you can set the summary type per field. Just pick a field (Such as Inventory Location) and a summary Type (such as Sum or Group). Note that once you set a summary type for one field, the search results are only going to show the result fields that have summary types selected (the rest is in the drill downs). Generally, you would maybe Group by Inv. Location and Sum by Location Available, something like that. Should make sense once you start fooling around with it.
