I have three main selling prices WEB, B2B and Wholesale. When I upload new cost prices from my suppliers I want to automatically re-calculate the selling prices on the various price levels using a work flow.

I cannot see how to do this as I can’t see a way to access the discreet fields. I have looked at Mass Update and the problem there is even worse.

This is a nutty situation because at the moment every time my suppliers changes prices I have to down load the existing prices to csv do a vlookup to get the new prices into the spreadsheet and then run various calculations to set the correct margins on each price level.

I should be able to script this entire process in Workflow is there a workaround?

The great thing about workflow is that I can change the parameters for product in different Price Groups.

I don’t think this is possible with a Workflow, because price levels would be considered “line items”.

Of course the most flexible approach would be a Mass Update Script (or a Workflow Action Script), but I believe what you want to do can be accomplished without scripting, by using multiple “Update Prices” Mass Updates (Lists > Mass Update > Update Prices). You would create a separate Mass Update for each Price Level, and set Amount as a percentage and Based On to “Entered Cost”. If you need a more complex calculation, you can do this by having several updates with different filters.
