We are new to NetSuite and find that the in-product reporting doesn’t get us to where we need to be. Specifically, we’d like to be able to create templates and populate the data (sometimes from multiple sources) into the templates which can then be exported to Excel so that they are the same size and same rows and columns each time.

Are there any cloud options or script extensions that anyone has used? Does anyone have any advice on the best solution for what we want to accomplish?

If your new to Netsutie make sure you checkout saved searches (Lists > Search > Saved Searches) as these give more flexability than the Netsuite Report interface. and export directly to csv

From a reporting perspective their biggest limitations are the ability to only join across one table each way from the primary search record. You can create inovative reports if you start from the right place however and plan your search.

For a more complex scripting solution you could create multiple saved searches that return data subsets and then use Suitescript to manipulate the.
