I am new to Netsuite and noticed that any adjustments to the Allowance for Bad Debts are showing up in the aging. Does anyone know how to make this stop?

We always have journals showing up in our AR aging as well, so we ended up customizing the aging to leave out any journal entries. Under filters, add “Transaction Type” from “Unpaid Receivables Transactions”, then set it “not equal to” “journal”.

Another option is to make the Allowance for Bad Debts account an Other Current Asset account, instead of an Accounts Receivable account. Then you can post to this account, and it will not affect AR aging reports.
