How can I find the “referrer” field to add it to a search report of sales transactions?

If the ‘Referrer’ field you are referring from the webstore then this is accessible via Customer search as follows:

-Lists> Customers> Search

–Set Adv search form = T

–On results tab,

—Select ‘Referrer’ from the ‘First Site Visit Field..’

The ‘Referrer’ field is not available on a transaction search. There is an enhancement 154306 logged for it. You may vote for it.
