As an administrator I have customized the standard ‘Forecast by Sales Rep Detail’ report by adding a new custom field and changed the audience. The customized report can be accessed from Reports -> Saved Reports -> All Saved Reports and you can add a shortcut to the home dashboard. But isn’t there a way to replace the standard one in Reports -> Forecast -> Forecast by Sales Rep Detail to the customized one. so users can access from the menu and not have to go to the Saved Reports or through the home dashboard? It’s confusion users might use the standard report instead of the customized one.

If you have a custom report tab I think maybe this is possible.

Yes, that’s one of the purposes of the custom report tab. The downside is that as new reports are added to the standard tab you must add them to your custom tab.
