We have a search which returns items and non-inventory items on open sales orders not billed. We can pull through the “name” of non inventory items (our part code), but the “display name” (or description) of the non inventory item is manually entered per transaction line in the sales order. So on different transaction lines in the sales order, the display name is unique and not equal to the display name in the non-inventory item record. We use one non-inventory code to purchase and sell buyouts for various parts that we do not stock. Our problem is we need to report the display name (or product description) manually inserted in the open sales orders not invoiced search, not the display name entered in the non inventory record itself. Looking for a solution on how I can identify the variable “display name” entered in the sales order to pull into this search?

I believe the field you are after is the one labeled ‘Memo’ in Saved Searches.
